The East Texas State Fair opens this Friday, September 25, 2026, launching a 10-day schedule of carnival rides, live entertainment, and agricultural exhibits at The Park of East Texas grounds in Tyler. The long-standing annual event also brings an array of food options and family activities, aiming to provide a comprehensive experience for residents and visitors throughout East Texas.

Fairgoers can expect a full calendar of events during the fair’s run. The schedule includes the annual rodeo, live music performances, and several special event days designed to appeal to diverse interests. Both returning fair favorites and new attractions will be featured, contributing to a varied program across the fairgrounds.

The PRCA ProRodeo is set to kick off the fair’s opening weekend, marking one of the premier events for early attendees. Rodeo performances are scheduled for Friday, September 25; Saturday, September 26; and Sunday, September 27. Each evening’s performance will begin at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening an hour earlier at 6 p.m. for those attending the rodeo.

Making its debut at the East Texas State Fair, the Monster X Tour will bring two high-energy shows to the fairgrounds during the final weekend of the event. These performances will feature powerful 10,000-pound monster trucks engaging in competitive racing, challenging wheelie contests, and impressive freestyle tricks. In addition to watching the shows, fairgoers will have the opportunity to experience monster truck rides firsthand.

Live concerts are an integral part of the entertainment offerings at the fair. These musical performances are included with the general grounds admission, providing an added value for all visitors. This allows attendees to enjoy a range of acts without additional ticket purchases beyond their entry to the fair.

Beyond the main stage and arena events, the fair offers a wide selection of attractions. Visitors can explore AgVenture, witness daily dairy demonstrations, and see Legendary Longhorns. Younger attendees can enjoy a petting zoo, while Pig Races, XPogo performances, and Mutton Bustin’ events promise additional excitement. For refreshments and meals, Food Row will be a central destination. It will present a variety of culinary options, from classic "funnel cakes and fried favorites" to hearty barbeque and a selection of sweet treats, catering to diverse tastes. The Marketplace will also be available for shopping, and the Miller Lite Beer Garden will offer a space for adults.

Over the course of its 10-day operation, the East Texas State Fair will provide a consistent flow of rides, entertainment, and diverse activities. From agricultural showcases to thrilling performances, the event serves as a significant community gathering in Tyler.
