Longview is set to welcome a trio of new restaurant additions, signaling continued development in the city's dining landscape. These establishments — a returning favorite, a new concept expanding from Tyler, and a fresh arrival specializing in chicken salad — are slated to open at various points over the next few years, offering new options for residents.
Among the anticipated openings is Taco Casa, marking a return to Longview. The new location, situated at 116 E. Loop 281, is currently undergoing construction. Public records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate a projected completion date of November 20, 2026. The company's official website further supports these plans by listing Longview as a "coming-soon" location. For many who have lived in the area for an extended period, this opening represents a comeback for the brand, which previously operated in Longview.
Meanwhile, Twelve Kitchen + Cocktails has announced plans to expand its presence to Longview. The restaurant, which already operates a location in Tyler, will establish its new site at 322 E. Hawkins Parkway, in the vicinity of Andy's Frozen Custard. The Tyler establishment is known for its modern American cuisine, complemented by an extensive array of cocktails and whiskey selections. According to information posted on the restaurant's Facebook page, the Longview location is expected to open its doors "soon," making it a more immediate prospect for diners.
Looking further ahead, a new Chicken Salad Chick is planned for 3107 Nealy Way in Longview. This project involves the construction of a 2,945-square-foot restaurant facility, which will also feature a drive-thru for customer convenience. The commencement of construction for this particular location is scheduled for December 1, 2026, with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outlining an expected completion date of October 29, 2027. This timeline positions Chicken Salad Chick as a future addition to the Longview dining scene.
These three distinct dining options highlight ongoing commercial interest in Longview. While Twelve Kitchen + Cocktails is projected for an earlier opening, Taco Casa's return is anticipated by late 2026. The Chicken Salad Chick location has the latest projected opening, with construction set to begin in late 2026 and operations starting in late 2027.
