A building at 6112 N Lincoln Avenue, situated near the intersection of W Peterson and N Lincoln avenues, is poised to host a new restaurant and bar. Owners of a concept operating under the name 6112 Hospitality recently submitted a liquor license application for the address, indicating plans for an establishment that will serve both food and drinks. This action suggests the space, which has a history as a dining venue, will once again become an active part of Tyler’s restaurant landscape.
The proposed 6112 Hospitality venture involves a group of experienced professionals from the hospitality industry, prominently featuring local chef Tyler Nickson. Chef Nickson has a recognized presence within Tyler's culinary community, having been a part of local establishments such as Three House and Marlowe. He is particularly known for his diverse culinary creations, including vegetarian dishes, and for a specific offering: a brisket and bone marrow smash burger. Also attached to this project is Sebastien Simon, who is identified as a local private chef, further underscoring the culinary talent behind the new operation.
The establishment is planned to occupy both the ground floor and upper level of the structure that previously housed Evita Steakhouse. Evita Steakhouse had served patrons at this 6112 N Lincoln Avenue address for many years, establishing itself as a long-standing dining option in the area. Its owners eventually relocated the steakhouse to a new address on McCormick Boulevard. However, operations at the new McCormick Boulevard location ceased not long after the move, leaving the original N Lincoln Avenue space available.
The location for 6112 Hospitality is strategically placed on the south end of N Lincoln Avenue, directly across from the Lincoln Village shopping area. This segment of N Lincoln Avenue is characterized by a notable concentration of diverse dining establishments. The new restaurant will join a "string of restaurants" already operating on this side of the road, which includes popular spots such as Bangkok Thai Cuisine, Hoanh Long Vietnamese & Chinese, and Wingstop. Additionally, a Panera Bread is situated across the street, contributing to the variety of food service options available within the immediate vicinity.
As of the recent public records, many specific details about 6112 Hospitality’s menu, design, or overall dining experience are not yet available. The submission of the liquor license application represents a key procedural step towards opening. However, a definitive opening date for the new concept is still being evaluated by the project team. Residents and interested diners can anticipate further announcements as the development of 6112 Hospitality progresses towards its launch.
