Nobel Golf on Tuesday, October 1, 2026, officially completed its acquisition of Hollytree Country Club, located at 6700 Hollytree Drive in Tyler. The Frisco-based golf and hospitality investment company, founded by CEO Das Nobel and Chief Brand Officer Nipa Nobel, announced the ownership transition on August 21, marking a new chapter for the private club established in 1983.
Nobel Golf, which aims to acquire, develop, and operate over 100 golf courses and private club facilities, is focused on strategic growth and community-oriented club experiences. The company stated its intention to ensure long-term stability and growth for Hollytree. Das Nobel indicated that the acquisition is a significant milestone for Nobel Golf, expressing a commitment to honoring the club’s traditions while driving long-term enhancements, modernizing amenities, and ensuring Hollytree remains a top-tier destination for golf and recreation. He also mentioned a focus on future growth and strategic investment in pioneering AI technology to enhance member experiences.
Under the new leadership, Nobel Golf plans to address significant deferred maintenance across the property. This includes essential repairs to the golf course irrigation system, upgrading non-operational maintenance equipment, and modernizing the pool facilities. According to Nobel Golf, a multiphase plan for renovation and modernization is currently underway. The new ownership team is also dedicated to reinstating the Board of Governors to help guide these strategic initiatives, foster strong member engagement, and ensure the club’s long-term success.
Nipa Nobel affirmed the company's dedication to elevating the member experience, enhancing facilities, and fostering strong community connections. Hollytree Country Club features an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis and pickleball facilities, a 25-meter swimming pool, a toddler pool, dining, and family-oriented amenities. The club has a notable history, having hosted legendary golfers such as Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, and Lee Trevino. Locally, it has been recognized as a top regional course, including winning Best Golf Course in the “Locals Love Us” awards from 2015 to 2022 and the “Best of East Texas Award” in 2008, 2012, and 2013, according to Hollytree Country Club records.
