UT Health East Texas has introduced an expanded range of clinical services within The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine building, providing residents with advanced outpatient imaging, specialized orthopedic, women’s health, and pulmonology clinics, along with modern surgery suites. This development strengthens the organization's commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

The facility now offers advanced outpatient imaging services, including MRI, CT, and mammography. The Breast Center features four 3D mammography units designed for enhanced clarity and earlier detection, alongside two breast ultrasound rooms for targeted evaluation. Patients can also access bone density testing for long-term bone health. Adjacent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology supports specialized breast and cardiac imaging, providing high-resolution studies for precise diagnosis. On the second floor, cardiac CT is available with dual-source technology, which delivers exceptional speed and clarity, even for patients with higher heart rates. Additional imaging services include X-ray and fluoroscopy, serving both diagnostic and interventional needs. A speech therapy TIMS unit is also on this floor, supporting real-time swallow studies to guide therapy.

The Women’s Health Center, located on the second floor, brings together nine physicians and four advanced practice providers to offer comprehensive care for women. This center includes 28 spacious clinic rooms, four dedicated ultrasound rooms, and two fully equipped treatment rooms for in-office procedures. The team is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care, whether for preventive services, advanced gynecologic treatment, or maternity services.

On the third floor, the UT Health East Texas Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute integrates orthopedics, sports medicine, and physical therapy and rehabilitation into one coordinated care team. The new space features 36 exam rooms, three X-ray suites, and two casting rooms, allowing patients to be evaluated and treated efficiently in a single location. Fellowship-trained specialists at the institute provide both surgical and nonsurgical solutions, supported by on-site EMG and nerve testing for accurate diagnosis. The institute aims to make expert musculoskeletal care more convenient through same-day or next-day appointments, streamlined imaging access, and close collaboration with referring providers.

Also situated on the third floor, the Pulmonary Institute unifies nine physicians and four advanced practice providers from across the regional network into a single, state-of-the-art center. This floor includes 33 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, and six pulmonary function testing rooms designed to minimize scheduling delays. The institute also features a cardiopulmonary exercise testing room for comprehensive heart-lung assessment and an on-site X-ray room to support continuity of care. UT Health East Texas states that with a unified team and advanced diagnostic capabilities, this facility elevates pulmonary care in East Texas.

By consolidating these specialized services under one roof, UT Health East Texas aims to advance health, support medical education, and enhance well-being throughout East Texas, providing convenient access to a range of advanced care options. The modern facility strengthens the organization's commitment to delivering exceptional care. The expanded services are now available to patients.
