Tyler Legacy picked up a significant District 10-6A win with a decisive sweep over Forney, securing the match in three sets with scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12. Annie Trahan led the team with 23 assists and added three digs. Haley Herndon contributed 10 kills, while Ella Crouch posted six kills, two aces, and five digs. Mikel Reed and Peyton Neely each recorded six kills.
Additional contributors for Tyler Legacy included Charlotte Freeman with five kills, Kelci Zelaya with seven assists and three digs, and Tynlee Reeves with three kills, one block, and two digs. Tyler Legacy is scheduled to play at Royse City on Tuesday.
Mineola also achieved a sweep, defeating Winona in three sets: 25-7, 25-5, and 25-13. Canyon Redding dominated at the net for Mineola, leading with 16 kills. Redding also added six aces and five digs to her performance. Adalyn Steward and Milo Reed each contributed six kills, while Callie Black finished with 20 assists, two aces, and five digs.
Bullard rallied for a four-set victory over Madisonville on Friday, with scores of 15-25, 25-17, 25-20, and 25-23. Kalia Andres was a force at the net, recording 25 kills, 10 digs, two blocks, and two aces. Parey Dickson was instrumental in setting up plays, finishing with 32 assists and 10 digs.
Julie Guidry chipped in with 14 kills, 10 digs, two blocks, and six aces for Bullard. Addison Cooksey added nine digs and three aces, Kali Jo Bannister contributed five blocks, and Hudsen Walker led the defense with 21 digs.
In other area high school volleyball results, Whitehouse was swept by Hallsville in a three-set match on Friday, with scores of 25-10, 28-26, and 25-19. No individual statistics were provided for Whitehouse players.
Spring Hill earned a 3-1 victory over crosstown rival Pine Tree, with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, and 25-21. This win created a tie at the top of the District 16-4A standings, with both Spring Hill and Pine Tree holding a 6-1 district record. Spring Hill moved to 19-17 overall, while Pine Tree's overall record stands at 22-11.
During the Spring Hill-Pine Tree match, Pine Tree's Carly Chadwick reached a significant milestone, recording her 2,000th career assist. Chadwick finished the match with 33 assists, 19 digs, three kills, and three aces. Other key players for Pine Tree included Sydney Vasquez with 26 digs and Kylie Spurger with 10 kills, 12 digs, and five blocks. Zamoria Smith and Rylee Benson each contributed eight kills and three blocks, while Bryleigh Mayhan had seven kills, six digs, and three blocks. Khylee Briggs added nine blocks, two digs, and two kills.
For Spring Hill, Chesney Jeter and Sarah Beall combined for 32 assists. Calleigh Secord filled the stat sheet with two aces, nine kills, 14 digs, and three blocks. Jeter individually recorded two aces, six kills, 15 assists, and 14 digs. Beall contributed six kills, 17 assists, and four blocks. Trinity Mose had seven kills and two blocks, Avery Jordan tallied 10 digs, Kaylee Londeau made five assists and 18 digs, and Brooklyn Thompson provided three aces and five kills.
Tatum remained unbeaten in district play with a 3-1 win over Troup on Friday. The set scores were 25-23, 19-25, 25-17, and 25-17. Kumora Chatman handed out 33 assists for Tatum, and Maddie Thornton hammered home 23 kills.
Longview also secured a District 10-6A win, sweeping Mesquite Horn 3-0 with scores of 25-11, 25-9, and 25-17. This victory put the Lady Lobos back into the win column. N’Kheyli Johnson had 10 kills and six aces for Longview, and Alyssa Grissom finished with 10 aces, three digs, and eight kills.
Hughes Springs rallied for a 3-2 victory over New Diana on Friday, with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, and 15-11. Kate McKinney recorded 40 assists for Hughes Springs, and Malorie Hall contributed 13 kills, three aces, 13 digs, and four blocks.
Elysian Fields completed a 3-0 sweep of Carlisle on Friday, earning wins with scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-18. Taylor Youngblood led Elysian Fields with 28 digs.
